Kyiv Without Power: Russia May Target Other Ukrainian Regions Next

news.telegraf.com.ua (Ukrainian) —

Kyiv is almost entirely without electricity following Russian strikes, and other Ukrainian regions may be the next targets. This was stated by Ukrainian MP Serhiy Kozyr, who believes all areas that transmit power to the capital are at risk. Kozyr explained that blacking out Kyiv is a political goal for Russia, but the enemy also seeks to make life unbearable in other regions. After the attack on November 7, the Energy Ministry reported damage to transmission and distribution networks, including lines from nuclear plants. Emergency and scheduled outages are in effect in parts of Ukraine, with power supply nearly halted in Kyiv, Zhytomyr, Vinnytsia, and other regions. Industrial power limits have also been imposed. Kozyr previously warned Ukrainians to prepare for having electricity only two hours per day.
