Russian forces down 411 Ukrainian drones overnight
Russia's air defense forces destroyed 411 Ukrainian drones overnight over multiple Russian regions and the Black and Azov Seas, according to the Russian Defense Ministry. The drones were intercepted across ten provinces, Crimea, and both seas. Ukrainian sources reported attacks on Russian industrial and military sites, including the Saratov oil refinery and the Almaz military plant, causing fires. Russia retaliated Saturday with missile and drone strikes targeting Kyiv and other areas, hitting energy infrastructure and the Tripolska thermal plant. Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko said the city's Northern Bridge was damaged in the Russian attack and closed to traffic in both directions until further notice. The Russian strikes also targeted a 330 kV substation in Zhytomyr province supporting Ukraine's military-industrial complex.
