European leaders have firmly rejected Washington's plan to discuss a new security framework with Moscow at the Abu Dhabi talks, insisting that the continent's future cannot be decided without their participation. US President Donald Trump announced after meeting Russian envoy Kirill Dmitriev that a Ukraine peace deal could encompass all of Europe. Trump's envoy Jared Kushner held parallel talks with NATO and European officials on Ukraine security guarantees, describing Washington's ambition to develop a broader framework. EU foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas said Europe already has a security architecture and that Russia constantly violates its foundational treaties.
