Russia Strikes Kyiv Energy Grid and Dnipro Bridge Before Abu Dhabi Talks
Russia launched 172 drones and 36 ballistic missiles at Kyiv and other regions on November 7, striking energy infrastructure, residential buildings, and a major bridge, causing widespread damage and service disruptions. The attacks damaged the Northern Bridge over the Dnipro River, leaving parts of Kyiv without electricity, heating, and water. Five people were injured in the capital, while strikes in the Dnipropetrovsk region killed one person and injured four others, including an 11-year-old girl. The escalation precedes trilateral talks between Ukraine, Russia, and the United States scheduled for November 10-11 in Abu Dhabi. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy urged Washington to maintain support, while Ukraine conducted counterstrikes on Russian oil and military-industrial facilities.
