Russia Strikes Kyiv and Region With Ballistics, Damaging Bridge and Power Grid
Russia launched a ballistic missile attack on Kyiv and the surrounding region overnight, damaging the city's Pivnichnyi Bridge and energy infrastructure, with five people reported injured. The attack also caused fires and damage to residential buildings, a kindergarten, and a non-residential structure in the Solomianskyi district. Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko stated that the energy situation in the capital is "extremely difficult" following strikes on facilities in Kyiv and Zhytomyr regions, leading to disruptions in heating and water supply. The bridge is closed to traffic in both directions while experts assess the extent of the damage, and the Kyiv City Express railway reported train delays due to a lack of voltage in the contact network. The Ukrainian Air Force reported multiple waves of ballistic missiles targeting Kyiv and the region from the evening of November 6 through the night. Among the injured is a 14-year-old child, according to the State Emergency Service.
