Death toll from Komyshuvakha airstrike rises to 53, 50 missing

ansa.it (Italian) —

The death toll from the November 2 airstrike in the village of Komyshuvakha, in Ukraine's Zaporizhzhia region, has risen to 53, with around 50 people still missing. Search operations are currently underway at the site. Yulia Barysheva, a spokesperson for the State Emergency Service in the region, confirmed the figures during a press conference. Rescue teams from Zaporizhzhia and other regions are working at the scene, transported by armored vehicles due to ongoing threats and shelling. Operations are complicated by frequent attacks that force pauses in the search, as well as heavy dust. Rescue dogs are being used to identify victims' bodies and remains, according to canine expert Roman Samolenko.
