Ukraine downs 196 of 227 Russian drones in overnight attack

Russia attacked Ukraine with 227 drones, including Shahed, Gerbera, and Parody types. Ukrainian forces neutralized 196 drones, with impacts recorded at 14 locations. The attack began on the evening of November 5. Of the 227 drones, 86 were jet-powered Shaheds. Air defense shot down or suppressed 196 drones, while about 15 remained in the air as of 8:00 AM, with combat operations ongoing. Debris from downed drones fell at 8 locations. The defense involved aviation, missile troops, electronic warfare units, drone systems, and mobile fire groups of Ukraine's Defense Forces.
