Russian Strikes Hit Kyiv Region Rail Hub, Airbase, and Drone Plants

On the night of September 21, the Russian military launched a large-scale attack on military targets in the Kyiv region, striking a railway hub, an airbase, drone production facilities, and potential NATO data centers. According to retired Colonel Anatoly Matviychuk, the Boyarka railway hub was hit, disrupting the supply chain for Western weapons to Ukrainian forces. Strikes also targeted the Vasylkiv airbase, which can host F-16s, and industrial sites producing long-range drones. Matviychuk suggested that NATO data centers processing intelligence for Ukrainian attacks on Russian cities may have been destroyed. He stated that disrupting logistics delays Western equipment reaching the front line, easing the advance of Russian troops.
