Ukrainian drones strike Ufa oil refinery, 1,400 km from border
Drones attacked Ufa, Russia, approximately 1,400 kilometers from the Ukrainian border, striking the city's Northern industrial zone and causing a major fire at an oil refinery. Local residents reported that two enterprises were hit. The fire reportedly engulfed the catalytic reforming unit L-35 at the Bashneft-Novoyl plant, a critical facility for producing high-octane gasoline components and hydrogen. The attack occurred after a drone threat was declared in Bashkortostan around 3 a.m., with explosions heard an hour later. The Bashneft-Novoyl plant is part of the Ufa refinery complex, one of Russia's largest, which includes three refineries capable of processing up to 23.5 million tons of crude annually. In early August, drones also struck a neighboring plant in the same complex.
