Ukraine strikes four Russian plants, Kremlin says Kyiv ignores Trump
Russia claimed Ukraine attacked four Russian industrial facilities—three oil refineries and one gas chemical plant—on Friday, October 30, according to Kremlin officials. Moscow said Kyiv is "ignoring" U.S. President Donald Trump's calls to stop such strikes. Kremlin aide Yuri Ushakov told state media that Ukrainians "disobeyed again" and are "ignoring" Trump, who remains persistent on the issue. He suggested Kyiv acts boldly due to European support and that trilateral talks mediated by the U.S. are planned. Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak confirmed the attacks, saying air defenses worked with minor damage reported. Ukrainian military command has not confirmed the strikes. Earlier reports suggested Kyiv had paused refinery attacks under U.S. pressure until after the midterm elections, possibly extending into November.
