Evacuated residents from occupied Alyoshky arrive in Ukraine
Evacuated residents from the Russian-occupied city of Alyoshky have arrived in Ukraine, with the oldest evacuee aged 94 and the youngest just over one year old, according to Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights Dmytro Lubinets. The evacuees traveled by bus from Alyoshky to Anapa, then flew on Russian Defense Ministry planes to Belarus this morning, before taking buses from Gomel back into Ukraine. Pets, including dogs, cats, a parrot, and a raccoon, arrived first via cargo transport. Lubinets confirmed the humanitarian mission succeeded, noting the silence regime will last until 22:59 on November 1, the longest such agreement since 2022. He shared stories of evacuees, including a family trapped in a destroyed building and a man who survived 16 drone attacks and four missile strikes on his home.
