Russian Forces Mass Near Kherson During Oleshky Ceasefire

ua.korrespondent.net (Ukrainian) —

Ukrainian military reports Russian forces may be preparing an offensive on Kherson during a ceasefire in occupied Oleshky, citing equipment transfers and drone unit movements toward the Dnipro River. The declared truce, set to last until November 1, is linked to preparing civilian evacuations. Ukrainian sources told Bild that trucks move near Kakhovka, industrial zones are being fitted with anti-drone nets, and Grad rocket systems are being positioned near Radensk. About 2,000 residents remain in Oleshky, but evacuation is hampered by lack of internet access and a ban on taking pets. The humanitarian operation was mediated by Melania Trump, with the silence regime starting October 27 and aid delivery planned for October 30.
