Evacuated Residents of Oleshky Arrive in Ukraine, Zelensky Confirms
Ukrainian citizens have been successfully evacuated from occupied Oleshky in the Kherson region and have crossed the border into Ukraine via Chernihiv region, President Volodymyr Zelensky announced. The humanitarian operation was made possible by a temporary ceasefire on the Kherson front, during which roads to Oleshky were demined, humanitarian aid was delivered, and people in need were evacuated from the city and surrounding community. Zelensky thanked the US and First Lady Melania Trump for mediation, defense forces for security, and Ombudsman Dmytro Lubinets for implementing the mission.
