Russian strikes on Kyiv and Dnipro kill 14, EU condemns attacks
Russian forces launched a massive attack on Kyiv and struck a civilian train in Dnipro, killing at least 14 people, according to Ukrainian authorities. The attack has drawn international condemnation and renewed calls for tougher sanctions against Moscow. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky confirmed the Dnipro death toll rose to 14, while separate Russian drone strikes in Chernihiv killed two 15-year-old girls and in Kremenchuk killed three people. EU leaders condemned the attacks, with Kaja Kallas stating Moscow is not interested in peace. A humanitarian operation is underway in Russian-occupied Oleshky, where 2,000 civilians face shortages of food, water, and medicine. President Trump announced a potential Putin-Zelensky meeting "very soon," while Russia said trilateral talks depend on Ukraine's actions around November 4.
