Russia Accuses Kyiv of Breaking Oleshky Truce in Drone Attack on Civilian Car
Russia accused Ukrainian forces of violating the US-mediated humanitarian truce in Oleshky by striking a civilian car with a drone, wounding two occupants, one day before the ceasefire's scheduled expiration. The Russian special envoy Rodion Miroshnik reported the attack occurred as a civilian vehicle left the city for food, with the injured transported to a local hospital. Meanwhile, three Russian military planes landed in Belarus carrying over 200 evacuated civilians from Oleshky to Ukrainian-controlled territory, marking the first such operation since February 2022. Separately, a Ukrainian drone strike killed two civilians in Russia's Bryansk region, while Ukrainian air defenses reported intercepting 105 of 134 Russian drones overnight. Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov stated President Zelensky could visit Moscow to meet Putin, with security guaranteed.
