Ukraine schedules nationwide power outages for October 30 after Russian strikes
Ukraine will impose scheduled power outages across all regions on Friday, October 30, due to the aftermath of Russian strikes on the energy infrastructure. Restrictions will apply from 06:00 to 23:59 for all consumer categories. The outages will affect consumers for 6 to 10 hours daily, with industrial power limits also in place during the same period. Ukrenergo warned the situation may change and advised residents to monitor official regional operator announcements. Russian forces conducted 126 attacks on Ukraine's energy and gas sectors last week. Emergency outages occurred in Kyiv on October 29, and the city of Konotop in Sumy region remains largely without power with fuel reserves for generators nearly exhausted.
