Evacuated residents of Oleshky return to Ukraine, Zelensky pledges support
Evacuated residents of Oleshky, Kherson region, have returned to Ukraine, President Volodymyr Zelensky announced, promising necessary aid and support for their adaptation. Over 750 residents were evacuated on October 30; those choosing Ukraine traveled via buses to Anapa, flights to Belarusian Gomel, and crossed into Chernihiv region. No filtration procedures were conducted, according to Ukrainian ombudsman Dmytro Lubinets. Russia's Foreign Ministry envoy Rodion Miroshnik accused Ukrainian forces of violating the ceasefire in Oleshky, claiming a drone attacked a civilian car on October 31. Ukraine's military command denied this, citing Russian reconnaissance drones and cargo drops during the truce.
