Russia Strikes Kyiv With Ballistic Missiles, Causing Fire
Russia attacked Kyiv with ballistic missiles on the evening of Thursday, October 29, causing a fire in warehouse buildings in the Darnytskyi district. Mayor Vitali Klitschko confirmed the strike and said emergency services were dispatched to the scene. Approximately eight Iskander-M ballistic missiles hit the capital within five minutes, according to military journalist Andriy Tsaplienko. The Darnytskyi and Dniprovskyi districts were targeted, with rocket debris burning in a residential courtyard and windows blown out of a nearby building. The attack follows a morning strike on a civilian electric train in Dnipro that killed 14 people and wounded 14 others. Separately, the US is reportedly delaying deliveries of newer PAC-3 missiles for Patriot systems to Ukraine while older PAC-2 missiles continue to arrive.
