Russian Drone Strike Kills 14 at Dnipro Train Station as Oleshky Ceasefire Begins

ansa.it (Italian) —

A Russian drone strike killed at least 14 people at a crowded train station in Dnipro, Ukraine, on the same day a humanitarian ceasefire began in the Kherson region. President Volodymyr Zelensky condemned the attack and called for new sanctions against Moscow. The strike hit the main station's platform as a train was departing for Zaporizhzhia, leaving 10 injured. A vocational school dormitory was also hit, sparking a fire. Zelensky reported a total of 19 deaths nationwide, including five other drone attack victims in Chernihiv and Kremenchuk. The six-day truce in Oleshky, mediated by the Pope and the US, is holding with no reported violations. The operation aims to deliver food and medicine and evacuate residents, with Russia threatening consequences if Ukraine attacks during its November 4 holiday.
