Kyiv water supply disrupted after drone strike on critical infrastructure
Russian drones struck a critical infrastructure facility in Kyiv three times on the evening of October 30, causing power outages and disrupting water supply across much of the city. Mayor Vitali Klitschko reported the attack, with emergency crews working to restore services. Water supply has been restored in the Obolon district, while Svyatoshyn, Podil, and Shevchenko districts receive water at reduced pressure. The left bank (Darnytskyi, Dniprovskyi, Desnyanskyi districts) plus Pecherskyi, Solomyanskyi, and Holosiivskyi districts remain without water. The strike occurred around 22:00, also causing an explosion in a Shevchenko district apartment building that damaged a nearby bus. Kyiv has faced increasing power disruptions, including emergency outages on October 21 and 25, amid 76 attacks on Ukrainian energy facilities during the recent "energy truce" week.
