New Power Outages Hit Kyiv and Four Ukrainian Regions

ua.korrespondent.net (Ukrainian) —

New power outages have been recorded in Kyiv and four Ukrainian regions following Russian attacks on civilian energy infrastructure, Ukrenergo reported on Friday, October 30. Emergency restoration work has begun where security conditions permit. The outages affect consumers in Kyiv, as well as the Kyiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhzhia, and Kharkiv regions, resulting from attacks on energy facilities overnight and in recent days. Power restriction schedules for industry and hourly blackout schedules for all consumer categories will be applied in some areas until the end of the day. Emergency outages are active on Kyiv's right bank due to equipment damage, with temporary schedules suspended in three districts of the Kyiv region. Electricity consumption in Ukraine has decreased by 2% compared to the previous working day due to forced restrictions. Authorities urge citizens to limit use of powerful electrical appliances between 16:00 and 22:00. The night attack involved missiles and 113 drones, with most targets intercepted but some strikes occurring, including on an enterprise in the Kremenchuk district.
