Final evacuation plane from Oleshky lands in Belarus
The final plane carrying evacuated residents from the temporarily occupied town of Oleshky in Ukraine's Kherson region has arrived in Gomel, Belarus, and the group is expected to return to Ukrainian territory within hours. The fourth and last aircraft landed in Gomel, according to David Arakhamia, head of the Ukrainian parliament's "Servant of the People" faction. The evacuees were first transported by bus to Anapa, Russia, then flown to Belarus, with the next step being transfer to the "Nova Huta" checkpoint on the Belarusian-Ukrainian border. The evacuation operation, which began on October 30, was conducted under a temporary ceasefire agreed near the city. The route through Anapa and Belarus was pre-approved, and the Ukrainian delegation, led by human rights ombudsman Dmytro Lubinets, is accompanying the residents.
