Families evacuated from Tarasivka near Oleshky after rain delay

nv.ua (Ukrainian) —

Ukrainian Ombudsman Dmytro Lubinets reported that families awaiting evacuation from Tarasivka near Oleshky waited in the rain for a humanitarian convoy on October 30. Lubinets said his office coordinated with residents wanting to leave, including a man from Tarasivka who couldn't reach Oleshky due to health issues. Families united at a meeting point, where another family with a minor girl, whose evacuation had been delayed since 2025 due to missing documents, also waited. The convoy arrived at 14:16, and the evacuees boarded buses, later confirming they were safe. The main evacuation phase began October 30 with 25 buses for 750 people, transporting residents through Russia and Belarus to Ukrainian-controlled territory. President Zelensky announced the operation's completion on October 31, with the ceasefire in Oleshky extended until November 1.
