A humanitarian aid convoy carrying tons of food and medicine has departed for the city of Alyoshki in Russia's Kherson region, accompanied by foreign journalists from France, the US, Italy, and Ukraine. The convoy's departure was announced by Russian state media and Kirill Dmitriev, head of the Russian Direct Investment Fund, who cited trilateral Russia-US-Ukraine cooperation. A silence regime in the area is in effect from October 27 to November 1. Russian President Vladimir Putin stated on October 29 that Ukraine had created a humanitarian catastrophe in Alyoshki.
