Dnipro faces blackout after Russian strikes halt most electric transport
A blackout has begun in Dnipro, Ukraine, on October 30, with emergency power outages implemented across the city and region following Russian strikes on energy infrastructure. Almost all electric transport has stopped, including trams, trolleybuses, and the metro. The outages were ordered by Ukrenergo for Dnipro, surrounding areas, and part of Pavlohrad district due to severe equipment damage from Russian attacks on October 29. Dnipro Mayor Borys Filatov urged residents to stay home and stock up on food and water for several days. Metro power was partially restored by 7:30 AM, with trains running at 16-minute intervals, while repair work continues. The previous day's attacks on main networks left over 350,000 subscribers without electricity in Dnipro and nearby settlements.
