Zaporizhzhia faces record FPV drone attacks, military responds

ua.korrespondent.net (Ukrainian) —

Zaporizhzhia experienced a record number of FPV drone attacks on October 29, prompting military officials to develop countermeasures against the new threat. Regional military administration head Mykhailo Semikin reported the attacks in an evening address, attributing them to a change in enemy tactics and drone modifications. He acknowledged the attacks cause public anxiety and confirmed coordination with military forces is underway. Semikin urged residents to remain calm, heed air raid warnings, and prioritize personal safety. The attacks follow a separate incident where a man was killed in Bilenke and public transport was targeted twice in the city.
