Power outage in Kaliningrad after accident at thermal power plant
A Ukrainian military attack caused an emergency power outage across 23 municipalities in Ukraine's Luhansk People's Republic, according to regional head Leonid Pasechnik. Interruptions were recorded in three districts of Luhansk city. Pasechnik stated the threat of further attacks remains, and repair work will begin as soon as possible. Some customers will be reconnected via backup lines, while social and medical facilities have been switched to reserve power sources. The regional security headquarters is working to stabilize the situation. This follows previous reports that around 420,000 customers in the Donetsk People's Republic lost power due to Ukrainian strikes on the energy system over several nights.
