Russian Forces Used Oleshky Ceasefire to Reinforce Positions, Ukraine Says

ua.korrespondent.net (Ukrainian) —

During a humanitarian ceasefire in occupied Oleshky, Russian forces used the pause to rotate troops, strengthen logistics, and install anti-drone defenses, according to Ukraine's Southern Forces. Ukrainian troops reported reconnaissance drone flights and provocations by the enemy. Spokesman Maksym Kravchuk said Russia dropped explosives from drones to discredit Ukraine and falsely accuse it of violating the truce. He denied Russian claims of Ukrainian ceasefire breaches, stating the pause is solely for civilian aid and evacuation. Ukrainian units continue to monitor Russian actions to prevent threats and provocations. Residents of the Kherson community were urged to be especially cautious on November 1 amid reports of potential Russian provocations.
