Kyiv districts face 16-hour power outages after Russian strikes

gazeta.ru (Russian) —

Parts of Kyiv have been without power for over 16 hours, according to Ukrainian media reports, with the situation in the capital remaining critical. The Troieshchyna residential area on the left bank of the Dnipro River is completely without electricity. Residents complain that power outages occur even outside announced schedules, while complaints to energy company DTEK are either impossible to submit or are dismissed with claims that power is available. An air raid alert is currently active in the city and parts of the Kyiv region. The crisis follows Russian strikes on energy infrastructure, with strict blackout schedules introduced and some areas receiving power for only 1.5 hours daily. Over 80,000 families remain without electricity, and Mayor Vitali Klitschko reported water supply disruptions as well.
