Ukraine to Limit Power Use in Some Regions on Sunday

ua.korrespondent.net (Ukrainian) —

Ukraine will impose hourly power outage schedules in some regions on Sunday, November 1, due to the aftermath of Russian attacks on energy infrastructure. Restrictions will last from morning until the end of the day. The outages will apply to all consumer categories from 06:00 to 23:59, with limits ranging from 1.5 to 2.5 rounds, according to Ukrenergo. Industrial consumers will face power capacity restrictions, and regional operators will publish updates on official social media pages. The measures follow a Russian air attack on October 30 that knocked out critical infrastructure in Kyiv, leaving some districts without water. Ukrenergo warns the energy situation may change and urges Ukrainians to use electricity sparingly during supply hours.
