Kyiv's Troieshchyna district plunged into darkness during blackout

news.telegraf.com.ua (Ukrainian) —

Kyiv's Troieshchyna district, one of the capital's largest residential areas, is plunged into complete darkness due to scheduled power outages caused by Russian attacks on Ukraine's energy system. Reporter Yan Dobronosov of Telegraf documented the blackout, showing residential buildings as silent shadows, with only scattered lit apartment windows and bright "islands" of light from stores and cafes using autonomous power. Streetlights and roads remain dark, briefly illuminated only by passing car and public transport headlights. Dobronosov noted he experienced the same situation in Dnipro before returning to Kyiv. Telegraf previously reported on an energy-resilient residential complex in Kyiv unaffected by the outages.
