Trump Meets Venezuela's Interim Leader at UN for First Time Since Maduro's Capture

Several US officials attended the meeting, including top advisor Stephen Miller, chief of staff Susie Wiles, Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent, and Secretary of State Marco Rubio. Rodriguez, set to address the UN on Wednesday, is the first Venezuelan head of state to visit since Maduro's January capture. Rodriguez, formerly Maduro's vice president, has cooperated with Washington, including granting US access to Venezuela's oil reserves. Trump mentioned Venezuela in his UN address, noting combined US-Venezuelan oil holdings exceed 60 percent of the world's supply.
