Zelensky: 33 killed, over 50 missing after Russian strike on Komyshuvakha
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky reported that 33 people were killed and over 50 may remain under rubble after a Russian airstrike on the village of Komyshuvakha in Zaporizhzhia region. He made the statement during a press conference with German Chancellor Friedrich Merz in Berlin on Tuesday, November 3. Zelensky said a rescue operation has been ongoing for a second day, with five people saved so far. He described the attack as one of the largest Russian killings of the war, noting it followed a humanitarian operation in occupied Oleshky and came after Ukraine proposed extending a ceasefire, which Russia answered with new strikes. As of the morning of November 3, 31 deaths and 48 missing were confirmed. The attack on November 2 involved multiple aerial bombs, including FAB-500 and FAB-3000, targeting a school where aid was distributed, with nine bombs dropped on shelters after the first strike. November 3 was declared a day of mourning in Zaporizhzhia region.
