Russian strike on Ukrainian aid site kills 31 in Zaporizhzhia
At least 31 people were killed and dozens remain missing after a Russian strike hit an aid facility and shelter in Komyshuvakha, southern Ukraine, on Monday. Rescuers continued searching through the rubble Tuesday for survivors. The attack in the Zaporizhzhia region used bunker-busting bombs, killing four police officers and two rescue workers. Three days of mourning were declared, with more than 45 residents still unaccounted for, according to acting regional head Mykhailo Semikin. The strike was part of a broader overnight barrage involving 289 drones and 76 missiles across nine regions, damaging power plants and hospitals. The attacks come ahead of US-mediated peace talks scheduled for Nov. 10-11 in Abu Dhabi.
