Russia Confirms US-Ukraine Talks in Abu Dhabi as Fighting Continues
Russia confirmed that trilateral talks with the US and Ukraine on the Ukraine issue will be held in Abu Dhabi, UAE, on November 10-11, as fighting continues. Russian Presidential Press Secretary Dmitry Peskov announced the meeting on November 3, with Russian delegation led by Presidential Aide Vladimir Medinsky. US envoy Steve Witkoff confirmed Washington's mediation role in the working-level negotiations. Previous rounds of talks in Abu Dhabi and Geneva since January have yielded little progress beyond prisoner exchanges. Ukraine reported a major Russian attack overnight with 76 missiles and 289 drones, causing power outages and 73 injuries at a Kharkiv hospital, while Russia cited ongoing Ukrainian strikes on its energy infrastructure.
