Crimea faces new blackouts as power outages hit Simferopol, Yalta, Sevastopol, and Feodosia
Occupied Crimea experienced new power outages overnight into Wednesday, November 4, leaving cities including Simferopol, Yalta, Sevastopol, and Feodosia without electricity. Local residents reported flickering lights and voltage fluctuations between 160 and 200 volts. Advisor to the occupation head, Oleg Kryuchkov, stated a new accident occurred in the energy system outside Crimea, with restoration work underway and power supply restrictions imposed. This follows an October 24 outage caused by a fire at the Taman substation, part of the energy bridge from Russia, reportedly due to a drone attack. Authorities then struggled with electricity deficits, prioritizing supply to social facilities.
