Russian strike on Zaporizhzhia aid point kills 37, dozens missing
A Russian strike on an aid distribution point in Ukraine's Zaporizhzhia region has killed at least 37 people, with dozens missing, officials said Wednesday, marking one of the deadliest civilian attacks this year. Rescuers searched rubble in Komyshuvakha, where 59 people are missing, according to regional officials. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy said Russian forces bombed the school twice as people gathered for aid, killing rescue workers and police officers. Russia claimed the attack targeted Ukrainian military units, killing up to 25 servicemen. The strike followed a US-brokered ceasefire in Oleshky, and US envoy Steve Witkoff announced upcoming Ukraine-Russia talks in Abu Dhabi on November 10-11.
