Zelensky: 40 dead, 30 under rubble after Russian strikes on Komyshuvakha
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky reported 40 dead and over 30 people possibly trapped under rubble following Russian airstrikes on the town of Komyshuvakha in the Zaporizhzhia region. Zelensky stated that search and rescue operations at the site of the strike on a school have been ongoing for the third day, with services working under the constant threat of new attacks. He noted that some bodies have not yet been identified and criticized the lack of international reaction to the attack. The Russian forces dropped nine aerial bombs on people receiving humanitarian aid, then targeted rescuers and police who arrived at the scene. The initial strike on November 2 was followed by additional bombs on a shelter, and drone attacks have repeatedly interrupted search efforts.
