Russia launches massive missile and drone attack on Ukrainian energy infrastructure
Russia launched a massive overnight attack on Ukraine on November 3, using drones, cruise missiles, and ballistic missiles, targeting energy infrastructure across multiple regions, including Kharkiv, Dnipro, and Vinnytsia. Explosions were reported in Dnipro, Kharkiv, Rivne, Khmelnytskyi, and Vinnytsia regions. Strikes damaged thermal power plants and power lines, causing emergency blackouts in Kyiv and other areas. At least 62 people were injured in Kharkiv, with five wounded in Dnipro. The attack coincided with US midterm elections. Ukrainian officials reported hits on several thermal power plants, including Ladyzhyn and Kryvyi Rih. President Zelensky had warned of a new massive strike focused on energy and logistics facilities.
