Drone Attack Sparks Fire at Yaroslavl Oil Refinery

24tv.ua (Russian) —

A drone attack on the Slavneft-YANOS oil refinery in Yaroslavl, Russia, caused a large fire at the facility overnight on November 3, 2026. Local residents reported three separate fire sources and loud explosions at the industrial site. The refinery, one of Russia's top five, produces gasoline, diesel, and jet fuel, supplying the Central and Northwestern regions, including the Moscow area. Video footage showed thick smoke and open flames, following a regional drone alert. The attack follows a similar strike on a refinery in Kstovo, Nizhny Novgorod Oblast, on November 1, which caused significant damage. The Yaroslavl plant also supplies fuel to airports and Russian military-industrial facilities.
