Russian Strikes on Kharkiv Hospital Injure 62, Force Evacuation of 200 Patients
Russian forces attacked a hospital in Kharkiv with ballistic missiles and guided aerial bombs, injuring 62 people and damaging over 1,000 windows. Approximately 200 patients were evacuated to other medical centers due to the damage. The attack occurred early on November 3, following a strike on a school in Zaporizhzhia that killed 26 people, including two rescuers and four police officers. Kharkiv's mayor confirmed the evacuation, while emergency services worked at the scene. Kharkiv, Ukraine's second-largest city with 1.4 million residents, lies 30 kilometers from the Russian border and has faced repeated attacks since the war began. President Zelensky said Russia dropped nine additional bombs on a shelter after the initial Zaporizhzhia strike, calling the attacks proof of no Russian intent to de-escalate.
