A Russian attack on a school in southern Ukraine used as a humanitarian aid distribution point killed 31 people and left at least 48 missing. The strike occurred Monday in the village of Komyushuvakha, Zaporizhzhia region. Rescue teams continued searching the rubble Tuesday, with dozens of workers and volunteers looking for survivors. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said a second strike with nine bombs hit the shelter where people had fled after the initial attack. The attack used bunker-piercing bombs carrying nearly 1.5 tons of explosives, killing four police officers and two rescuers. Three days of mourning were declared in Zaporizhzhia, with officials calling it one of the region's worst civilian tragedies since the war began.
