ua.korrespondent.net (Ukrainian) —

Latvia has initiated an emergency UN Security Council meeting following a Russian strike on civilians in Ukraine, specifically an attack on Komyshuvakha. Latvian Foreign Minister Baiba Braže announced the initiative on Tuesday, November 3. The emergency session was requested after a Russian attack on the Zaporizhzhia region settlement killed at least 26 people during a humanitarian aid distribution. Braže stated Latvia called for the urgent meeting in response to Russian attacks against Ukraine's civilian population. The strike targeted a humanitarian aid distribution center in Komyshuvakha, where dozens of people were killed. Braže made the announcement via social media platform X, condemning the attacks on civilians.
