Vinnytsia Oblast loses power in most towns after Russian strike on energy grid
Most of Vinnytsia Oblast's towns and villages lost power due to damage to energy facilities and power lines, the regional council reported. Hourly blackout schedules were introduced. The outages follow a massive Russian attack overnight on November 3 involving drones, cruise missiles, and ballistic weapons. Explosions were reported in Dnipro, Kharkiv, Rivne, Khmelnytskyi, and Vinnytsia Oblast, with monitoring channels indicating a major strike on the Ladyzhyn thermal power plant. Russia also heavily attacked Vinnytsia Oblast on the night of November 1, targeting energy infrastructure. That earlier assault damaged a mobile tower, a warehouse, and windows in high-rise buildings, plus public transport stops and a car in Vinnytsia city.
