Kyiv drone attack sparks fires in Sviatoshynskyi and Holosiivskyi districts
Russian forces attacked Kyiv with drones on the morning of Wednesday, November 4, causing fires in the Sviatoshynskyi and Holosiivskyi districts from falling debris, according to Mayor Vitali Klitschko. Emergency services are responding to the incidents. In Sviatoshynskyi, debris ignited a private house roof, while in Holosiivskyi, fragments fell on open ground, sparking a fire. Ukraine's air defense had neutralized 272 of 310 Shahed drones by 08:00, with over 20 still airborne. The attack follows a massive Russian strike on three DTEK thermal power plants overnight on November 3, halting electricity production. Kyiv also partially restored water supply on November 4 after the earlier bombardment.
