Drone strike hits major Russian refinery in Yaroslavl
A drone attack on the Slavneft-YANOS refinery, one of Russia's five largest, caused a fire in Yaroslavl on the night before November 3. Local authorities had declared a drone alert prior to the incident. The fire was confirmed through OSINT analysis by the independent Russian outlet ASTRA, which verified eyewitness photos and videos showing the blaze at the Moscow Prospekt facility. At least three fire sources were reported, with Russian radars allegedly detecting up to 150 drones. The refinery, operating since 1961, processes about 15 million tons of oil annually, supplying fuel to central and northwestern Russia, including Moscow region airports and military-industrial facilities. This attack follows similar drone strikes on refineries in Kstovo on November 1 and Ufa.
