Russian attack on Ukrainian aid site kills 33 in Zaporizhzhia region
The death toll from a Russian attack on a humanitarian aid site in southern Ukraine has risen to 33, with dozens still missing. The strike was part of a wave of overnight attacks targeting power plants across the country. Rescuers continue searching the rubble in Komyshuvakha, Zaporizhzhia region, for more than 45 missing residents. The attack involved bunker-busting bombs and killed four police officers and two rescue workers, while separate strikes wounded at least 62 people in Kharkiv. Russia launched 289 drones, 17 ballistic missiles, and 59 cruise missiles across nine regions, causing emergency power cuts. The attacks coincide with US elections, and Ukraine has declared three days of mourning in Zaporizhzhia.
