Russian strike on Ukrainian aid centre kills at least 26 in Zaporizhzhia
A Russian bombing of an aid distribution centre and shelter in southern Ukraine killed at least 26 people on Monday, Ukrainian officials said. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy condemned the attack as a "vile terrorist strike." The strike hit the village of Komyshuvakha in the Zaporizhzhia region, killing two rescue workers and four police officers. Five people were hospitalised, and 27 were reported missing. Zelenskyy said Russian forces dropped bombs on a school used for aid distribution, followed by a second strike on the shelter. The attack came after a US-brokered ceasefire in nearby Oleshky, which Zelenskyy said showed Russia's unwillingness to de-escalate. US-led talks between Russia and Ukraine are set to resume in Abu Dhabi on 10-11 November.
