Russian double strike on Zaporizhzhia aid center kills 26
A Russian double strike on a humanitarian aid distribution center in Zaporizhzhia, Ukraine, killed 26 people, according to Ukrainian emergency services. The attack occurred in the village of Komyshuvakha on Monday. The first strike hit a school used for weekly aid distribution, followed by a second attack with nine bombs targeting a shelter where residents had taken cover. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy condemned the attack, stating Russia had an opportunity for de-escalation after a recent humanitarian operation in Oleshky but instead continues to kill people. The attack came one day after a six-day local ceasefire for aid delivery in Oleshky expired. US envoy Steve Witkoff announced plans for Ukrainian and Russian delegations to meet in Abu Dhabi on November 10-11 to discuss ending the war.
