Binance sees $3.64 billion in net outflows after withdrawals resume
Binance, the world's largest cryptocurrency exchange, reported net outflows of approximately $3.64 billion on Sunday after resuming withdrawals, representing 2.1% of its $171 billion in assets under management. The company processed over $4.64 billion in withdrawals and $1.01 billion in deposits during the period, according to a post on social media platform X. Binance stated that withdrawal volumes are decreasing and stabilizing as expected, while deposit volumes remain substantial. The withdrawals follow Binance's resumption of client withdrawals after what it described as the largest hacker attack ever recorded, with the FBI attributing the theft to North Korean hackers. The incident tests Binance's promise to fully reimburse customers after a robbery four times larger than the previous crypto invasion record.
